Aim and scope

Psychology is the study of mind and behavior. It is an academic discipline and an applied science which seeks to understand individuals and groups by establishing general principles and researching specific cases. Psychology plays an important role in our everyday lives as it is basically the study of who we are, why we are that way, and also what we can become. Psychology is important in many different ways, one example of why it is so important is, the research that has been done on many life threatening diseases. By using psychology, psychologists have studied diseases such as, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and many other neurological diseases. Today, we know a whole lot more about these diseases than we did in the past. Today, Scientists have even been able to produce medicines that may help victims of these diseases.
